Audrey LaForest is an associate editor for two B2B publications at BNP Media, where she covers the technical side of the flexible packaging and HVAC/sheet metal industries.
As a freelance journalist and editor based in metro Detroit, she covers lifestyle and business/entrepreneurship stories. Prior to joining BNP Media, she was the editorial associate at Ambassador Magazine and the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Detroiter publication, where she spent her time juggling copy editing, fact checking, writing and editorial production tasks on a daily basis.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and apparel design from Wayne State University, and has interned at metro Detroit publications Hour Detroit, Ambassador Magazine and Grosse Pointe Today.
Editor’s Note: She’s been a vegetarian for more than 10 years. She’s un peu (a little bit) obsessed with French language and culture, including all things Édith Piaf and Anna Karina. Some of her favorite books include “Nausea” by Jean-Paul Sartre, “Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino, “The Woman Destroyed” by Simone de Beauvoir, “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” by Milan Kundera, and “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. She has a rescue cat named Charlie who has at least 20 nicknames — and growing.
